People often ask me, what got you started in painting? Since I do not have a clear recollection of when and how it started, the best answer I can give is, “I guess it started as a toddler, most likely when I realized that I was able to make cool and fun things with crayons, brushes, and colors.” That childhood fascination for creativity grew into a more complex passion for painting and creating still-life sceneries.

 

As a proud Army Veteran, I had the opportunity to live and travel around the world and experience the beauty of many countries and places I never thought I would visit. This God-given experience reignited my passion for the arts as it allowed me to appreciate in person a variety of landscapes and cultures. Being a Christian man this life-changing experience reminded me of the Bible verse in Psalms 96:11-12, “Let heaven celebrate! Let the earth rejoice! Let the sea and everything in it roar! Let the countryside and everything in it celebrate! Then all the trees of the forest too will shout out joyfully.” It was like God telling me to observe, open up, breathe, be inspired, and connect with every aspect of my creation. This, of course, was the beginning of a new artistic appreciation for God's creation and in many ways inspired my current painting style.

 

Although capturing nature sceneries on canvas remains my favorite theme, my work has expanded into many subjects and other forms of art such as Coffee Painting, Watercolors, Pencils, Portraits, Woodwork, and Stone crafting. I provide various artistic services, from commissioned art to private and group classes.
